Transport at Folkecenter
Folkecenter has, since its foundation, been focusing a lot on transportations and on ways to reduce its impact on the environment and the society. Several solutions have been tried and are all visible in Folkecenter. The center is equipped with a number of electric bikes and mopeds, which can be tried free of charge by the visitors. Visitors will also be able to see examples of plant oil vehicles, as well as electric and hydrogen-powered solutions.
In the specific, the center owns a Volkskwagen Passat equipped with an Elsbett engine, which can run on pure plant oil (PPO), a Toyota Hilux with a diesel engine converted to PPO through Elsbett technology, a combustion dual-fuel gasoline/hydrogen car (Ford Focus), an electric car (Kewett) and an electric van (Streetscooter B14 Work).
